Paul Cezanne, Aix-en-Provence The French painter Paul Cezanne was born and died in Aix. This plaque is over the doorway of the location of his death. Paul Cezanne, Aix-en-Provence Cezanne is known for his still life paintings. Many of his paintings are on display in the Musee’ d’Orsay in Paris.

Aix-en-Provence  This little cafe wasn’t exactly Starbucks but I wasn’t complaining. The freshly ground coffee came in many flavors and mine was really good. This old coffee grinder and roaster just added to the charm of the place.

Fromage – Aix-en-Provence I don’t speak French, but I do speak cheese! This is one of the things I miss most from Italy and France, the cheese shops.

Spok Restaurant – Aix-en-Provence Stopped into Spok for a quick bite. What a great little concept restaurant. Boxed meals and made to order as well. Couscous, French style green beans, cheese.
