We picked up the rental car at the Venice Italy airport and hit the road for Tuscany. Just a couple of hour drive. Alot of people traveling in Italy ask me how it is to drive and I always tell them no problem. The highways and roads are well maintained and clearly marked. Be sure to bring along a GPS or rent one. The only cities I would recommend against driving your own rental is Rome and Naples. The traffic is crazy and parking is expensive even if you can find it.
Next Stop – Radda in Chianti
Peugeot was the make we rented and it drove great. One more car rental tip: You need to know how to drive a stick.
