While visiting the shore in Athens I came upon the charming Belle Amie Restaurant and decided to stop for lunch. The Belle Amie is located in the Piraeus area of Athens and as you can see from the photo serves up a variety of meats, Greek salads, and seafood. Everything on the table was delicious and this was one of the best meals I had on my entire trip.

This pickled cabbage salad was fantastic. It was my favorite dish on the table and I could have eaten nothing but this wonderful salad. Then again, everything on the table was wonderful!

The interior of the Belle Amie is beautiful. and although I ate outside on the terrace I ventured in to see the restaurant. In the evenings they have live music that plays to a packed house.

Calamari so good you’ll want more! This may have been the best calamari I have ever eaten.

In Athens you must try the octopus and at Belle Amie you will not be disappointed. It was the best I had in Athens.
