On a tip from a twitter follower I made reservations for dinner at Delfina in San Francisco. Delfina is a Northern Italian inspired trattoria with outstanding food, great wine selection, and a very warm vibe.

Minutes after taking tis photo the entire restaurant filled up with the dinner crowd. Mostly locals and those of us that had good referrals. Reservations are a must.

Dinner started with a fine glass of pinot noir and an order of the grilled Monterey calamari in a warm bean salad. For the entree’ I ordered the rabbit. Simply delicious.

The roasted Mary’s chicken with noodles and mashed potatoes in olive oil.
Delfina is a gem and I will certainly get back there.
