The Market of San Miguel – Madrid

The Market of San Miguel in Madrid dates back to the early 1900’s and today is a modern setting to enjoy tapas and drinks with a great lively atmosphere. Locals and tourists move from stall to stall tasting the delicious foods and drinking Spanish beers, wines, and cocktails. One famous cocktail of this Madrid market is Vermut (Vermouth). Drink it straight or combine it with other mixes because this Spanish favorite goes great with any plate of tapas.
The Market of San Miguel was totally remodeled in 2009 so if you are looking for a traditional market this may not be what you are expecting. Still, the Market of San Miguel is a must see in Madrid and during my visit I stopped in several times for a quick bite and a beverage.
Tapas! Tapas!
