Completed in 1260, Notre Dame Cathedral sits on an island on the Seine River in the heart of Paris. The cathedral is now one of the most iconic structures in Paris and seeing it’s unique design you quickly see why. Notre Dame is an architectural wonder. If you want to tour the inside get there early and beat the lines.
UPDATE: These photos were from my trip in October of 2019, just a few months before the Cathedral was destroyed by a horrific fire. Fortunately many of the artifacts were saved and the structure remained mostly in tact with the exception of the roof. A massive re-construction effort is underway and soon the splendor of Notre Dame Cathedral will be restored.
