I had a tip for a good seafood restaurant to try while in Monterey so I acted on it and went to the Monterey Fish House. It’s a small place with a great vibe inside.

The night we went we didn’t have reservations and there was a wait but I didn’t let that stop us because the food coming to the tables looked fantastic.

We started off with oysters on the half shell.

Then we ordered a crab cake appetizer. It was very good.

I had some fish lightly breaded and served with fries and pasta and my only regret was I could not try more on the menu.
