My Favorite Falafel in Athens – Falafellas

Falafel: A deep-fried ball or patty made from ground chickpeas, fava beans, or both. Falafel is a traditional Middle Eastern food, commonly served in a pita, which acts as a pocket.
OK, now you know what it is and if you have never experienced the falafel you must get on a plane immediately, fly to Athens, and head straight to Falafellas to order one!!!!
Falafellas is on my list of favorite places to eat in Greece. Look at the queue just to get one of these wonderful culinary delights!
Last trip to Athens I saw everyone waiting to order and I knew it must be great so I got in line and ordered a spicy falafel. It was delicious. So this trip I made it a point to go back.
All of this for $2.50!!! Street food in Athens is quality and this falafel is delicious. I could eat thses every day…
It is worth the wait.
The Best Falafel in Athens – Falafellas
I told my hotel concierge about Falafellas and he had never been. The next day he thanked me for the tip and agreed it was fantastic!
This place is very popular with the locals. You order, and then stand or sit and eat with everyone outside in this Greek mall. What a great experience.
I wish they delivered. To Arizona!!!!
