Castellina in Chianti – Tuscany

Castellina is a small Tuscan town of about 3,000 people and is located in the Chianti hilltops about 15 kilometers north of Siena. This is one of those charming little towns that doesn’t get much attention from tourists because the only way to get there is by car, which is one of the reasons I recommend renting a vehicle and exploring all over Tuscany.
Castellina is a very livable village with shopping, restaurants, bars, and a lot of charm. As is this case with every Tuscan hilltop town it has a character all it’s own and a uniqueness that makes it fun to see. I encourage you to make it a stop to enjoy the peaceful centro and a great glass of Chianti red.
